Explosive Bolts

Movement-sensor bolts that detonate when enemies approach: 10 damage and a stack limit of 8 on both sources. Fextralife adds the same 2.0 blast radius it gives the arrows; Game8 prints none.

When to use it

The one bolt that out-damages the plain bolt rather than trading damage for status, and you get eight of them against the arrows' three. If the explosive arrow is a set-piece, this is the version you can afford to use routinely.

Where it sits in the weapon catalogue

  • Its published attack figure is "Ranged 10 (both sources)". No other catalogued Bolts entry prints that figure, which in a catalogue where seven swords share one number is itself worth knowing.
  • It deals Explosive, which one other catalogued weapons also do: Explosive Arrows. What each damage type actually does is the page that argues the swap.
