The only sword on this site read off the client, and it is the one that explains the whole catalogue: its panel reads "Mechblade (Light)+2 — Melee Attack 42", with the passive as "Mech Slash: Light++, increases the damage of attack 2 by 1.07× and critical chance by 20%. Effect length: 5 second(s)." Both wikis give 1.03× and no critical clause.

When to use it
The earliest sword you have to go and get, and the Keeper Golem hint means the game expects you to — but its real value here is as the Rosetta stone for every other row. 42 at +2 sits between Game8's 27 and Fextralife's 51, the upgrade level is printed in the item's own name, and the passive gains a whole clause as it climbs. This record used to say the two wikis agreeing on its passive was "the exception that needs explaining"; the explanation is that they were both reading a low-upgrade copy and the sword has more to give.
Where it sits in the weapon catalogue
- Its published attack figure is "42 at +2 (client) · 51 (Fextralife) / 27 (Game8)". No other catalogued Sword entry prints that figure, which in a catalogue where seven swords share one number is itself worth knowing.
- It deals Rupture, which two other catalogued weapons also do: Spring Storm and Winterwake. What each damage type actually does is the page that argues the swap.
- Its location puts it in Ogouchi Buffer Zone, in the Kanto Region — the segment this site indexes as Chapter 1, first of the 13 marked segments after the prologue.
