Higanbana: Bloom, Seeds and Roots
Three separate Bloom Arts, not one ability. Frames of Koo’s tree at 05:00 and 05:40 show Higanbana: Bloom and Higanbana: Seeds at a cost of 20 each and Higanbana: Roots at 10, sitting together above his three branch roots alongside a fourth art called Sakura: Javelin at 10. Koo’s equipment screen at 07:55 shows them slotted and priced individually — Seeds Lv. 3 at 2, Bloom Lv. 1 at 4, Roots Lv. 1 at 4 — into six art slots of which three were empty, each equipped art carrying one mod. What they do is still creator testimony rather than tooltip: LaserBolt describes the roots art restraining up to three enemies at once and the bloom art dealing heavy damage to up to three while leaving large blossoms Emma can jump to.

Where this comes from
LaserBolt — Emma and Koo Skill Tree Guide — opens at 05:40, where the skill is explained.
When to use it
This record spent two days published as contested and the client has now answered all three of the questions it was holding open. Character: Koo, not Emma — IGN’s before-playing guide describes "climbing Higanbana" as one of Emma’s Blade Arts and that is wrong, or at least is not this. Spelling: Higanbana, as the tree renders it; the captions that produced "Hyakki Bana" were mishearing it. Count: three arts sharing a prefix, which is why two creators describing "Higanbana" could give different effects without either being mistaken. What has *not* been answered is what each one does — no tooltip for any of the three is in a frame we hold, so the effects above are still LaserBolt narrating his own screen and are labelled as his.
Where it sits in the skill tree
- It sits on Koo's side of the tree, alongside the seven other Koo nodes catalogued here: Incantation, Guard, Taunt, Pounce, Snatch, Full Bloom and Deft Paws.
- Its weapon requirement is recorded as "No weapon requirement published", the same string one other catalogued nodes carry.
Builds using this
- Entanglement and homing shots — BltzZ explains it at 05:30Grants Koo one ATB per hit against burning enemies, and the move hits three or more times while burning them itself. The default mod in that slot regenerates 1.5% of Emma’s HP per hit, which he rates good but second best. Both names are now confirmed against the client: the equipment screen shows "Mod: Rapid Cooling", and the art the captions rendered as "Pig and Bon" is Higanbana. He slots it on Seeds; the captured loadout has it on Roots, and mods move between slots, so neither is a contradiction.
- Entanglement and homing shots — BltzZ explains it at 06:00Binds and freezes bosses in place. His argument for it is specific: some bosses move too much to land a heavy combo on, and Roots holds them still through it. He recommends investing early. He calls it "roots" and his chapter marker types it "ROOTS"; the client shows the art's full name is Higanbana: Roots, one of three Higanbana Bloom Arts, at a cost of 10.
- Sunrise burn loop — BltzZ explains it at 03:00The join the whole build is built on. With Rapid Cooling equipped, every hit on a burning enemy returns one FP to Koo, and Seeds hits five times at maximum — so a single cast on a burning group refunds most of what the next one costs. He calls the mod one of the best combinations from early game to late.
- Sunrise burn loop — BltzZ explains it at 04:00 (caption spelling unconfirmed)Three FP. It groups and roots enemies, and the mod doubles the rate every status effect builds on them — which is what takes a target from burn to Scorch quickly enough for the loop to hold. The art is catalogued; the mod name is a caption spelling with no record behind it and is marked accordingly.
