17 September 2026 update
Updated 2026-09-18

Entanglement Overdrive

One of the three branch roots on Emma's tree, alongside Tracking Shot and Hair — a client frame at 03:20 shows all three labelled in the game's own UI. Its tooltip in that frame reads: "Activate with LS + RS. Harnesses the speed gained through Entanglement with Koo. Extends the duration of Entanglement Overdrive. Lasts 1.52 second(s) per Entanglement Gauge." The same panel states "Required Attributes: Strength 9" against a current 8, and shows the first enhancement taking duration per gauge from 1.52 to 1.6 seconds. IGN separately describes the play side: with at least two bars, time slows and the gauge drains fast, which IGN calls risky and calls worth spending on a staggered enemy at full meter.

Where this comes from

LaserBolt — Emma and Koo Skill Tree Guide — opens at 03:20, where the skill is explained.

LaserBolt — Emma and Koo Skill Tree Guide

When to use it

This is the pick LaserBolt's route is built around and IGN's is not: LaserBolt argues you work up the tree toward Emma's core and the Entanglement gauge, IGN works down it toward Helm Splitter, and neither has tested the other's order. Two things are now settled from the client rather than from either of them. It is a branch, not a node — so "prioritise Entanglement Overdrive" means committing a whole third of Emma's tree. And it gates behind Strength, not the Florescence the colour scheme in circulation would predict. The numbers above are the first stats on this site quoted from the game's own text rather than from a creator reading a screen aloud; they describe the enhancement's duration and nothing else, and no damage figure exists for the state itself.

Where it sits in the skill tree

  • It sits on Emma's side of the tree, alongside the six other Emma nodes catalogued here: Helm Splitter, Shakuyaku, Iaido, Roll, Tracking Shot and Hair.
  • Its weapon requirement is recorded as "None; it spends the entanglement gauge", which no other catalogued node carries.

Builds using this

  • Instant Entanglement resetsDopamine Hunter explains it at 05:30
Maxed first, because he says it is what unlocks the rest of the branch. That matches what /entanglement/ reads off the client — it is a branch root rather than a single node — so the advice costs about a third of Emma’s tree and he does not say so.
