17 September 2026 update
Updated 2026-09-18

Shakuyaku

IGN's before-playing guide describes Shakuyaku as a two-hit Blade Art on the face button, spent from Emma's entanglement gauge, doing decent damage and considerably more stagger than a normal attack. IGN's skills guide separately calls "Sprout Shakuyaku" the tree prerequisite for Helm Splitter and describes extending Emma's hair into an enemy so that a bloom rises which she can launch from. Whether those are one node or two has not been established by any source.

When to use it

Worth points early on either reading: the stagger is the answer to tanky enemies you would otherwise hack at, and it is the only published route into Helm Splitter. The spelling is now settled against the client. A frame from LaserBolt's tree video at 02:10 shows the node selected, titled "Blade Art: Shakuyaku Lv. 5" in the game's own UI, with the description "The brilliant slash of a swordmaster imbued with shakuyaku." Machine captions render it "Shukuyaku" and that reading is simply wrong. The same frame shows a separate node named "Blade Art: Sakura", so the two-node question IGN left open is at least partly a matter of the tree carrying more than one flower-named Blade Art. It also settles that "Sprout Shakuyaku" is its own node: a later frame at 03:20 lists Sprout Shakuyaku on the Hair branch, above Helm Splitter, at a cost of 12.

Where it sits in the skill tree

  • It sits on Emma's side of the tree, alongside the six other Emma nodes catalogued here: Helm Splitter, Iaido, Roll, Tracking Shot, Hair and Entanglement Overdrive.
  • Its weapon requirement is recorded as "No weapon requirement published", the same string one other catalogued nodes carry.

Builds using this

  • Sprout into Helm SplitterRPG Division explains it at 01:00
Taken "as soon as possible", and taken for exactly one reason: it gives a platform to bounce off. The whole build is downstream of that platform existing.
