Insulating Mail

The one piece whose description claims something beyond a number: it "increases the wearer's resistance to shock". No resistance value is published for it anywhere, and no other armor claims a resistance at all.

When to use it

Recorded as a lead rather than as a stat. If elemental resistance is a real armor property in this game, this is the only published evidence of it, and it would be the first thing to check against a lightning-heavy region. Extreme awareness makes it a swap-for-the-fight piece rather than a carry.

Builds using this

No build on this site currently lists this piece of gear. It is documented here because a source describes it, not because a creator built around it.

  • Fextralife wiki — ArmorCompetitor claim, read 2026-08-06. Evidence that Fextralife publishes fourteen armors with three numbers each — Defense, Spirit Stone slots and an Enemy Awareness grade — plus flavour text and a strongbox location. The three axes are what make the table interesting: defense rises monotonically through the set and slots and awareness do not, so several later pieces are worse than earlier ones on two of three. Nobody has verified a single figure, and Game8's armor page carries no numbers at all.
