Prices and store listings on this page were read on 5 August 2026 and are the US storefronts. Regional pricing differs, sales happen, and a subscription catalogue can change — the date is part of every figure here.

§01

Two editions, and the upgrade is a penny more than the edition

There is a Standard edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition, and they cost the same on all three storefronts. What is easy to miss is the third purchase: the Deluxe content also sells on its own as an add-on, so an existing Standard owner is not stuck. Buying Standard and then the add-on costs $69.98, one cent under the $69.99 edition — which is to say the upgrade path is not a penalty.

PurchasePrice (US)What it is
Standard edition$59.99The game. Steam package 722757, and the same price on PlayStation and Xbox.
Digital Deluxe Edition$69.99Game plus the Deluxe content in one purchase. Steam package 1615095.
Deluxe add-on (DLC)$9.99The Deluxe content alone, for someone who already owns Standard. Steam App ID 4146830.

§02

What is actually in the Deluxe Edition

The publisher states the contents on the store listing, so this one does not need interpreting. It is cosmetics, a weapon and a currency grant — the Amber matters most, because Amber is what upgrades cost.

  • Black and Brown Shiba skins for Koo.
  • “Oni’s Hat” for Emma.
  • Emma’s sword, “Big Dipper”.
  • 100,000 Amber, the in-game currency.
  • A number of vegetable seedlings.
§03

Pre-ordered Standard? The upgrade grants the same content

The launch-day announcement addresses this directly: a Deluxe Edition upgrade released alongside the game, and the developers say that if you pre-ordered the standard edition, the upgrade gets you all of the additional content available in the Deluxe Edition. The separate pre-order bonus — a Brown Shiba skin for Koo and 30,000 Amber — is its own grant and is not the Deluxe content.

  • Pre-order bonus: Brown Shiba skin, 30,000 Amber. Steam App ID 4146810, not sold separately.
  • Deluxe: the five items above, including 100,000 Amber.
  • Owning both is normal — they stack rather than replace each other.
§04

Game Pass: day one, but only on two tiers

Microsoft announced it on 21 July 2026 for 4 August, day one. The line worth reading closely is which tiers were named: Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Essential and Premium are not in that announcement, and the Xbox store listing marks the Standard edition — not the Deluxe — as the included one.

No Switch 2 version has been announced

Asked by IGN about other platforms, director Kota Furushima said there was nothing to announce right now about platforms that had not already been announced. That was January 2026, it was a refusal to rule it out rather than a plan, and nothing has been announced since. Anyone publishing a Switch 2 release window for this game is publishing a guess.

§06

What the PC build asks for

Both official tiers are quoted with upscaling doing real work, which is the caveat that gets dropped when these tables get copied. An SSD is required rather than recommended, and the install is 45 GB at both tiers.

§07

Why the date reads 3 August in one place and 4 August everywhere else

The Steam store field says 3 August; PlayStation, Xbox and the publisher’s own announcement all say 4 August. Both are right. The game unlocked simultaneously worldwide, which for North America was 5pm Pacific on 3 August — 23:54 UTC in the raw store value, already 4 August in Japan and most of Europe. There was no early access on any edition: pre-ordering or paying more did not start you sooner.

§08

Eleven languages, two with full audio

The store lists English, French, German, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Italian, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Only English and Japanese are marked as having full audio; the rest are subtitles and interface.

§09

What is not established

Whether the Deluxe items can also be earned in-game. This is asked often enough to be one of the more common searches about the game, and no first-party source addresses it: the store lists what the pack grants and stops there. The skins and the hat are cosmetics, "Big Dipper" is a named sword, and nobody has published whether an equivalent turns up in a normal playthrough. When someone does, it will be here with a date on it rather than a guess now.

Beast of Reincarnation Editions, Platforms and Prices FAQ

$59.99 for the Standard edition and $69.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition, on Steam, PlayStation and Xbox as read on 5 August 2026. The Deluxe content alone is $9.99 if you already own Standard.
