Beast of Reincarnation Patch Notes: v1.0.12, v1.0.11 and Every Build Before
The 17 September v1.0.12 Steam notes in full — almost all cutscenes skippable, PC DLSS / Frame Generation improvements, ammo-slot remapping and fixes — with v1.0.11, PS5 1.007.000 and every earlier build kept below for version checks.
Six post-launch PC patches now have official line-by-line notes. Steam’s newest named build is v1.0.12; the latest PlayStation build this site has a named support-centre changelog for is 1.007.000, and Xbox Series remains last confirmed at 1.0.8.0 in the publisher’s version article. Every record below still separates what is known from what is not: shipped patch-note records do not become console-version claims unless a first-party source names the console build, and the launch builds behind them do not become more specific than their sources.
Latest Steam patch, plus last confirmed console numbers
1.0.12
Steam’s latest official announcement is v1.0.12, published on 17 September 2026. A client still reporting 1.0.11, 1.0.10, 1.0.9, 1.0.8 or 1.0.7 is behind the current Steam patch.
The v1.0.12 Steam post is headed “PC Patch Notes” and explicitly marks the DLSS / Frame Generation section as PC-only; this run still does not infer matching console version numbers from it.
Not on 1.0.12? How to force the check on Steam
- Find the game in your library.
- Press the “Update” button where “Play” usually is.
- Watch the download under Library → Downloads.
The publisher’s steps, not ours. Check the version afterwards rather than trusting the prompt.
- Almost all event scenes and cutscenes are now skippable; the publisher says a very small number remain unskippable for now and will be addressed in a future update.
- Added a “Skip” indicator to skippable cutscenes.
- Finishing animations can now be skipped.
- Previously viewed Tips no longer display from New Game+ onwards.
- Frame Generation options now adjust based on the detected RTX 40 / RTX 50 Series GPU (PC).
- When using DLSS-Dynamic on a monitor with a refresh rate of 120Hz or higher, players can now set a target frame rate (PC).
- Added “Switch ammo slot 1–3” button-mapping options so ammo switching can use alternative controls.
- Fixed certain cutscenes failing to end properly when skipped immediately after they started.
- Fixed Emma’s dialogue lines not always displaying correctly when voice-over language was set to English.
- Fixed the player remaining trapped after dying at the exact moment enemies were defeated in specific event battles.
- Fixed progression blockers related to event and boss battles across various zones.
- Fixed exploration info markers not displaying correctly on physical disc versions when playing without installing updates.
Twelve shipped top-level items from the official v1.0.12 Steam notes, counting scope notes as part of their parent lines. No values are published for target frame-rate choices, GPU detection behaviour or which event and boss battles had progression blockers fixed, so none are printed here.
Version sources last reconciled on 18 September 2026; Steam uses the latest announcement, console rows use the latest platform-specific records this site has read. What is planned next →
What v1.0.12 actually changed
The twelve shipped top-level items Steam published on 17 September, filterable by what they touch, with the nine still listed as planned held separately underneath. Every line is shortened from the official notes without adding numbers or console claims. Per-build detail is on the v1.0.12 record, and the previous PC patch is still readable at v1.0.11.
All 12 items in the official v1.0.12 Steam notes, 17 September 2026. The post names this as Patch 6; its DLSS / Frame Generation section is PC-only, and console version numbers are not inferred here.
- Pacing

Nine things named for later patches, with no date or version number
The official v1.0.12 notes name these as future work. They include the few cutscenes still not skippable, a post-Great Wall route-bypass choice, attack-pattern revamps, harder modes, enemy-drop auto-pickup and more water and boundary work, but no item is dated.
- Addressing the very small number of cutscenes that remain unskippable
- Adding a post-Great Wall Terraces choice to bypass Pilgrim’s Zone, Matsukawa Colony Zone and Fuji Frontier Zone or play them normally
- Revamping attack patterns for similar boss types, including Nushi variants and Shidou
- Adding a difficulty mode higher than Hard
- Adding a higher difficulty mode for New Game+
- Auto-pickup for items dropped by enemies
- Adjusting dialogue pacing and cut lengths during events
- Adjusting water hazard detection
- Adjusting invisible boundaries
Almost all cutscenes and finishing animations moved from the future list into v1.0.12. Enemy-drop auto-pickup, the route-bypass choice and the very small number of remaining unskippable cutscenes are still future work.
Every build anyone can name
The unnumbered future patch stays first because it is the moving target; shipped builds are newest first underneath it. PC v1.0.12 is the newest Steam patch. Older support-centre records are kept because PlayStation uses 1.007.000 / 1.006.000 / 1.005.000 where PC articles use v1.0.9 / v1.0.8 / v1.0.7.
Unnumbered
Announced in the 17 September 2026 v1.0.12 notes, no date
More patches are planned after v1.0.12, but none has a date or version number. The largest newly named item is a choice, after clearing the Great Wall Terraces, to bypass the next three zones or play them normally; the same forward list keeps harder modes, enemy-drop auto-pickup, event pacing, water and boundary work alive.
1.0.12
17 September 2026 — patch v1.0.12
v1.0.12 is the sixth shipped PC patch. It moves the cutscene-skip rollout much closer to complete, adds skip signalling and skippable finishing animations, improves DLSS / Frame Generation settings on PC, adds ammo-slot button mappings and fixes several event, dialogue and progression bugs.
1.0.11
8 September 2026 — patch v1.0.11
v1.0.11 is the fifth shipped patch. It moves several v1.0.10 promises into the live build — more skippable cutscenes, cutscene pacing adjustments and cosmetic visibility in cutscenes — while adding flower-node skill resets, extra Blighted Sprouts, Regeneration safety, ranged-aim buffering, Nushi and Magic Bullet balance changes, and a broad bug-fix list.
1.0.10
31 August 2026 — patch v1.0.10
v1.0.10 is the fourth shipped PC patch. It adds visual toggles, new SP and Amber pickup sources, inventory overflow conversion, ranged-aiming and interaction improvements, and a large group of progression, boss, Koo, collision and performance fixes.
1.0.9
24 August 2026 — patch v1.0.9
v1.0.9 is the third shipped patch. Ultrawide support and DLSS/FSR frame generation are now built in, supported cutscenes can be skipped by holding interact, and the remaining thirty-two top-level entries cover gameplay, interface, performance and bug fixes.
1.007.000
24 August 2026 — PS5 build 1.007.000
1.007.000 is the PlayStation number paired with v1.0.9 in the publisher’s third-patch article. It is one changelog, not a separate PS5 patch, and the list itself marks the entries that apply only to PC.
1.0.8
15 August 2026 — patch v1.0.8
v1.0.8 is the current build on Steam and Xbox Series, both reporting 1.0.8.0. It shipped the DLSS 4/4.5 and FSR 4 support the previous notes had deferred, added camera-distance and subtitle-size options, and — unlike v1.0.7 — changed encounters, enemy placement and one main route.
1.006.000
15 August 2026 — PS5 build 1.006.000
Your PS5 reports 1.006.000 for the patch the PC coverage calls 1.0.8. It is one patch: the publisher files both numbers in one article title, as it did for 1.0.7 and 1.005.000 a week earlier.
1.0.7
9 August 2026 — patch v1.0.7
v1.0.7 was the first official line-by-line patch note for this game, and it is no longer the current build. A Steam or Xbox Series client reporting 1.0.7.0 has not taken the 15 August v1.0.8 patch, which reads 1.0.8.0 on both.
1.005.000
9 August 2026 — PS5 build 1.005.000
Your PS5 reports a different number from the PC patch everyone was writing about, and it is the same patch: 1.005.000 is PlayStation’s numbering for the build Steam calls 1.0.7. Neither is current any more — the 15 August patch reads 1.006.000 on PS5.
1.0.6
4 August 2026 — the PC launch build
1.0.6 is the PC launch build. It is no longer the latest named Steam build after the 9 August v1.0.7 patch.
1.004
3 August 2026 — reported day-one, PlayStation 5
The PS5 day-one build, and no longer the current one. If your console still reports 1.004 you have not taken the 9 August patch, which reads 1.005.000.
Where official notes exist, and where they still do not
Latest first-party document read this run: the 17 September 2026 Steam Community Announcement “Beast of Reincarnation PC Patch Notes: v1.0.12”. It names Patch 6, lists twelve shipped top-level changes when scope notes are kept with their parent lines, and leaves nine future-work categories without dates or version numbers. Earlier support-centre records still explain the v1.0.9 / 1.007.000 and v1.0.8 / 1.006.000 platform-number splits.

![The publisher’s support article headed “[BOR] Patch Notes: v1.0.8 / v1.006.000”, showing the camera changes, the Brad dialogue item, the subtitle sizes and the DLSS 4/4.5 and FSR4 line.](/media/evidence/fictions-support-patch-notes-1-0-8-2026-08-18.webp)

The cutscene-skip rollout that v1.0.11 left incomplete is now almost complete in v1.0.12, and finishing animations can now be skipped. The new forward list moves attention to a post-Great Wall route-bypass option, harder modes, enemy-drop auto-pickup, event pacing, water hazard detection and invisible boundaries. Any current-version copy that still presents v1.0.11 or earlier as the newest Steam patch is out of date after 17 September.
If you find an itemised changelog for this game, check which build it names and how many items it has. The 17 September Steam post names v1.0.12 and this page records twelve shipped top-level changes, keeping scope notes with their parent lines. Older traps still matter: the 8 September patch has twenty-eight items, the 15 August patch has twenty-four items in the publisher’s support centre and twenty-three on Steam, while the 9 August patch has fourteen. Lists filed under 1.0.6 or PS5 1.004 are describing builds that never had official notes at all.

The second image is why the Japanese reader was better served than the English one for the first patch. The publisher files both languages under one support-article id, and for v1.0.7 the Japanese text was longer — it split the story-pacing bullet in two and named 任意にイベント・ムービーを再生できるようにする, a cutscene replay option under consideration, where the English article said only “further improve cutscene experience”. That did not repeat for v1.0.8: the two languages match item for item, and the document that comes up short that time is the English Steam post rather than either support article. The newest v1.0.12 source checked this run is the Steam announcement, so it is treated as a Steam record until a broader first-party document is read. The full Japanese v1.0.8 changelog is on パッチノート v1.0.8 / v1.006.000.
Where a real patch note would appear first
- The publisher’s Steam Community Announcements feed, which this site syncs daily. It carried the v1.0.12 notes on 17 September 2026, and those are the newest first-party patch notes read in this run.
- The publisher’s support centre, which is where the console half lives. It runs a Patch Notes section and a maintained “current game version” article, and it is the only first-party page that has ever stated an Xbox build number. It answers 403 to every automated fetch, so it has to be opened in a browser — which is why this site was six days late to it.
- GAME FREAK’s official account on X, in Japanese. This is where the 5 August patch statement appeared before any notes shipped.
- Your own client: Steam should be compared against v1.0.12; console numbers need a console-specific source before this site updates them from older support-centre readings.
When a build ships, the question stops being “which build am I on” and becomes “did it fix the thing I complained about”. That is a different page: the patch tracker holds each announced fix against the complaint it answers and marks what has shipped across the patches, while keeping the heavily-reported problems still outside them. If the thing you are checking is a specific bug rather than a promise, the known-issues list records which of them the notes name as fixed and which are still only player reports.

- Fictions support centre — Patch Notes: v1.0.9 / v1.007.000 (article 54749151147283) — Official and broader than the Steam heading: the title pairs PC v1.0.9 with PS5 v1.007.000 under one changelog. Read 26 August 2026; thirty-five top-level changes, including platform-specific PC and PS5 lines.
- Steam Community Announcement — Beast of Reincarnation PC Patch Notes: v1.0.8 — Official patch notes, posted 15 August 2026 and synced the same day. Twenty-three changes, against the twenty-four in the publisher’s own support article — the Steam post omits the Brad arrival-dialogue item. Its closing “upcoming patches” list has twelve entries and, unlike the v1.0.7 list, it names both ultrawide monitor support and frame generation. Read 2026-08-18.
- Fictions support centre — Patch Notes: v1.0.8 / v1.006.000 (article 54430411510419) — Official, and the fullest single record of this patch: twenty-four items, one more than the Steam announcement, and both version strings in the title again — PC and PlayStation are one patch for the second cycle running. Tags two items as PC-only (mouse side buttons, DLSS/FSR), which is the first per-platform detail the publisher has ever printed inside a changelog. Cloudflare-walled to scripts; read 2026-08-18 in a real browser.
- Fictions サポート — パッチノート: v1.0.8 / v1.006.000 (article 54430411510419) — Official, same article id as the English one. Read 2026-08-18 and compared item by item: for this patch the two languages match, including the Brad item the Steam post drops. The v1.0.7 divergence — a promise in Japanese that English did not carry — did not repeat here, which is worth recording because this site now checks for it every cycle.
- Fictions support centre — What is the current game version? (article 54049725653139) — Official, per-platform, and maintained: Xbox Series 1.0.8.0, PS5 1.006.000, Steam 1.0.8.0 when read on 2026-08-18, against 1.0.7.0/1.005.000/1.0.7.0 on 2026-08-10. It is the only first-party page that states an Xbox build number at all, and it is edited in place with no history, so a citation of it is a citation of a date. The publisher’s own headline misspells "Reincaration"; the URL carries the typo too, so do not correct it when linking.
- Fictions support centre — Perform an online patch download to get the latest version (article 54049775588499) — Official. Gives the update-check steps for each platform in the platform’s own menu language, and names the version each should read afterwards: PS5 01.006.000, Xbox Series 1.0.8.0, Steam 1.0.8.0 when re-read on 2026-08-18. It writes PS5 with a leading zero where the version article writes 1.006.000 — the same build, two first-party spellings, and the same split it had at 1.005.000. Worth noting that this article was revised for the second patch: it sat on the launch numbers through the whole of the first one.
- Steam Community Announcement — Beast of Reincarnation PC Patch Notes: v1.0.7 — Official patch notes, posted 9 August 2026 and synced the same day. This is the first line-by-line PC changelog in the Steam feed. Fourteen bullets, re-counted against the post on 2026-08-10; its closing "subsequent patches" list has three entries and names neither ultrawide nor frame generation.
- Fictions support centre — Patch Notes: v1.0.7 / v1.005.000 (article 54231342026771) — Official, and the single most useful thing about it is its title: the publisher files the PC and PlayStation builds as one patch under one set of notes. The body is the same fourteen items as the Steam post, so nothing in the list is new — what is new is that the notes are not PC-only, which the Steam post’s own "PC Patch Notes" heading had left open. Read 2026-08-10, and superseded on 15 August by the v1.0.8 / v1.006.000 article in the same support section.
- MP1st — update 1.005, the first post-release patch — Press, 2026-08-09, bylined Alex Co and timestamped 12:23 pm. Independent evidence that a build numbered 1.005 went out on 9 August, and it is cited for that and nothing else. The five bullets it prints are the 5 August announcement, not the patch: the article says outright that "the devs have not confirmed whether this is a preliminary look at the patch or the entire thing", and it predates the finished twelve-item notes. Several sites have since copied its five bullets forward as though they were the changelog. The host 403s automated fetching; read 2026-08-10 with a browser user agent.
- Fictions support centre — Accidently declined updating the game (article 54154155516179) — Official, and stale — cited for both. Identical steps to the update-check article above, but it still names the launch targets: PS5 01.004.000, Xbox Series 1.0.6.0, Steam 1.0.6.0. Somebody updated one article on 9 August and not its sibling. It is worth citing anyway because it is the only first-party page that states an Xbox *launch* build number, and because a player who follows it will end up on 1.0.7.0 and be told to expect 1.0.6.0. The publisher’s own typo is in the title. Read 2026-08-10.
- MP1st — day-one update 1.004 — Press, launch week, and single-sourced. Evidence that MP1st reports a day-one update numbered 1.004 on PS5 and describes it as improving performance, fixing gameplay bugs and resolving crashes. Treat the PC half with care: the developer's own launch announcement already names 1.0.6, so on PC that number is the shipped build rather than evidence of a separate download. No official notes accompany either. NOTE, corrected 2026-08-10: this used to end 'the host returns 403 to automated fetching, so this was read through search results rather than re-fetched', which described the fetcher rather than the host. mp1st.com serves a headed browser normally, the same way Nexus and the support centre do.
This page is organised by version. The other four are not.
