The one thing Valve settles, and the one it does not
Valve's text says "every type of seedling", which establishes that seedlings are a countable set with types rather than a pile of identical pickups. That is genuinely useful — it means the achievement asks for variety and not volume, so grinding the same seedling will not advance it. What Valve does not do is publish how many types there are, and no first-party source anywhere does.
Why a type count and a pickup count are different numbers
This trips people up on exactly this achievement. "Every type" can be satisfied by nineteen distinct seedlings even if the world contains far more seedling pickups than nineteen — and a guide counting pickups will publish a much larger number for what sounds like the same thing. Nothing establishes which kind of count the nineteen is, so treat it as the target and check your own in-game tally against it.
What would improve this page
Either a second independent written roster that agrees with Eurogamer, or one screenshot of the seedling section of a completed inventory.
