Beast of Reincarnation Corvus: Shock, Grapple Points and a Ranged Stagger

The Chapter 7 Nushi finally has a page because a second written guide corroborates the airborne-stagger plan: bring Shock, shoot it down, parry the claw string for FP and use the grapple points to escape corrosive puddles.

The internal achievement id for this fight is ACH_NUSHI_CROW, which names crow. Placed by the sync script with no judgement involved: this row's rank is currently unambiguous on both Steam endpoints. Corvus is the crow genus.

How well we know this fight

Where the evidence stands

This was the last named Nushi the site deliberately held back. The old state was honest: one thirty-four-second Trophy Guides capture said Corvus flies, has low health, and has to be staggered with bow shots and Koo before melee can reach it. That was a real mechanic, but it was still one person saying it once. Eurogamer has now published an independent written guide that agrees on the practical core — an airborne boss that should be shot or crossbowed until staggered, then punished with Bloom Arts and melee — and adds the Chapter 7 structure, weakness, arena and drops. That clears the same bar Lacerta and Taurus cleared earlier: the page prints the overlap as corroborated and labels the extra Eurogamer-only specifics as such rather than upgrading them into settled client facts.

§02

The fight is a Chapter 7, Giant Tree Zone doublet

Eurogamer describes two Corvus encounters back-to-back in the Giant Tree Zone: one on Line 0, then a harder one on Line 1. Treat that as Eurogamer’s route note, not as something the Trophy Guides clip independently confirms — the short video establishes the fight shape, not the map structure. The useful warning is that the second fight is not a brand-new boss. It keeps the same weakness and move set, then adds a second health bar and one additional pressure point.

  • First encounter: Line 0 in the Giant Tree Zone, one phase, listed by Eurogamer as Lv. 38.Eurogamer Corvus guide, 2026-08-06
  • Second encounter: Line 1, three levels higher in Eurogamer’s read, with a second health bar.Eurogamer Corvus guide, 2026-08-06
  • The clear-order frame this site already holds puts Corvus after the Shidou and Nue Malefact sequence and before Kunai.SCut20Mkt2c 01:47:08–01:49:00

Bring Shock and plan to shoot it down

This is the corroborated part. Eurogamer names Shock as the weakness and recommends ranged hits while Corvus is airborne; the earlier Trophy Guides clip reaches the same practical answer from footage, saying bow and Koo carry the damage until the boss is staggered and drops into melee range. That overlap is the reason the page exists now rather than remaining a row on /bosses/.

Parry the claw stabs for FP; do not stand in the acid

Eurogamer’s move list is the only full written move list we hold, so this section is reported at that grade. The big tactical split is simple: claw stabs are the parry-and-refill window, while the flying bomb pattern is an arena-control problem. Corvus deals Acid-element damage and leaves corrosive puddles, so the mistake is not only getting hit by the projectile — it is staying where it landed.

  • The claw stab string is usually three pokes in a row, and Eurogamer marks it as the main parry window for restoring Koo’s FP.Eurogamer Corvus guide, 2026-08-06
  • Corrosive bombs land from the air, damage on contact and leave damaging puddles behind.Eurogamer Corvus guide, 2026-08-06

Use grapple points, and clear the second-fight summons

Both Corvus arenas are described as having grapple points. That matters because a flying boss can turn the ground into puddles faster than Emma can safely walk through them. In the second encounter, Eurogamer adds one new attack family: smaller corvid malefacts arrive alongside Corvus. They are not the boss, but leaving them alive makes the already narrow ranged window messier.

  • Grapple out of the puddled area instead of trying to keep fighting through damage over time.Eurogamer Corvus guide, 2026-08-06
  • Peck Dive is dodged or escaped with the grapple route; it is not the parry window the claw string is.Eurogamer Corvus guide, 2026-08-06
  • In the second encounter, quickly clear the smaller flying malefacts with bow shots before returning to Corvus.Eurogamer Corvus guide, 2026-08-06

Drops and levels are printed as one written guide’s read

The still above settles the identity problem this roster used to have: the shipped client’s own health bar prints Corvus and Lv. 38 in the frame captured for the page. Eurogamer’s item list goes further and names the rewards from both fights. Those reward names are useful enough to print, but they remain one written guide’s transcription until a second source or client frame confirms them.

  • The client frame reads “Lv. 38 Corvus” on the fight’s own health bar.SCut20Mkt2c 01:49:00
  • Eurogamer lists Lv. 38 drops as Nushi Skill: Acid Burst Nobudou, the Nobudou: Burst Bloom Art and Blade Art: Nobudou.Eurogamer Corvus guide, 2026-08-06
  • Eurogamer lists Lv. 41 drops as Corvine Memories, Nobudou: Burst 2 and Finisher: Nobudou.Eurogamer Corvus guide, 2026-08-06

Corvus — questions players actually ask

Shock, according to Eurogamer. The corroborated practical point is to bring ranged Shock pressure: Eurogamer names Fall Thunder, Sakura: Javelin, Lightning Arrows and Bolt Shards, while the earlier Trophy Guides clip also says bow and Koo carry the stagger plan.

Sources for this page

  • Trophy Guides — Corvus Boss GuideUploaded 2026-08-04, thirty-four seconds. Until 2026-08-12 this was the only commentated Corvus source and deliberately not enough for a page. It establishes an airborne fight with low health that has to be staggered before melee reaches it, with bow and Koo carrying the damage until it drops. Eurogamer has since published an independent written guide that agrees on the airborne-ranged-stagger shape and adds the two-encounter structure, weakness and drops, so this source now becomes the corroborating second read rather than the reason to hold the page back.
  • Eurogamer — How to beat Corvus in Beast of ReincarnationPress guide by Kelsey Raynor, updated 2026-08-06 and re-read 2026-08-12 — closes the Corvus page gap. It places Corvus in Chapter 7’s Giant Tree Zone across two back-to-back encounters on Line 0 and Line 1, says the second encounter is Lv. 41 after a Lv. 38 first fight, and independently agrees with the Trophy Guides capture that the airborne boss should be shot or crossbowed until staggered before Bloom Arts and melee punish it. Adds claims not taken from the video: Acid-element attacks, Shock weakness, Fall Thunder, Sakura: Javelin, Lightning Arrows, Bolt Shards, grapple points, small corvid summons in the second encounter, and the Lv. 38/Lv. 41 drops. Those specifics are still one written guide, so the page marks them as Eurogamer’s rather than settled game facts.
  • ExoGhost — Beast of Reincarnation boss listUploaded 2026-08-03; 21 typed chapter markers on a no-commentary 100% run, ending on "Mikoto the Beast of Reincarnation". Chapter list captured 2026-08-07 (data/transcripts/exoghost-all-bosses.md) — the capture is the creator’s own typed titles, not a caption track, so the proper-noun failure mode does not apply to it. Promoted 2026-08-07 from "one of two incompatible orders" to the order this site publishes, and not because Jaba Play was ruled out: Valve’s global unlock percentages fall monotonically along this sequence and along no rearrangement of it, which is a second source with no author, method or data in common. Cite it for the sequence and for the timestamps. It is still not a roster — a fight this player skipped is absent from it, and nothing here would reveal that. The footage carries a "Zanor Gaming" watermark the uploader does not otherwise account for; frames taken from it are cropped above it.

Video ids and timestamps are printed beside each claim above rather than collected here, so any single line can be checked without reading the page twice.
