Beast of Reincarnation Lacerta: Bring Lightning, and Phase Two Only Changes the Timing

The Chapter 2 Nushi, and the fight whose evidence gap closed. Two creators reach the lightning weakness independently, one has the whole move set on camera, and phase two runs the same move set on a different rhythm.

How well we know this fight

Where the evidence stands

This page exists because the evidence changed, and the change is worth knowing about before you read the tactics. Four days ago the only Lacerta recording anyone had was a video with no commentary track whose caption file was three lines of garbled enemy barks — this site published that as the reason it would not write the page, and pointed out that competitors were writing theirs out of each other. Three commentated guides have appeared since, two of them after 6 August. The lightning weakness below is the strongest claim here because two of those three reach it without reference to each other: one states it outright, the other brings electric blades on a hunch and reports that they worked. The name is better established than the roster grade beside it suggests, and the evidence is on this page rather than a click away: the still below is a frame chosen for the fight’s own health bar, and that bar reads “Lv. 16 Lacerta” in the shipped client’s text. `/bosses/` has published that reading since the frames were captured; what is new here is that the detail page shows it at a size where you can check it, which it previously did not.

§02

The move set, in the order you will meet it

One creator narrates the whole fight on hard and names every attack as it lands, which makes this the most complete move list we hold for any boss on this site. The pattern underneath it is the same one the first Nushi taught: block or parry until an opening, take two or three hits, stop. The specific instruction not to over-hit is his, and it is the difference between a slow win and a reset.

  • A red dot over the boss means dodge, not parry. That rule covers every unblockable it has.w00xlbUi4dg 00:30
  • It floods the ground around itself with mud and thorns sprout from it. Dodge on the red dot — dodging toward it keeps you in range to punish.w00xlbUi4dg 01:00
  • It submerges, swims at you, jumps and bites. Parry it, or simply hold block through the swing.w00xlbUi4dg 01:00–01:30
  • The bite string is three. Parry, parry, parry — then hit.w00xlbUi4dg 01:30
  • From the flank it whips its tail once. One parry or one block.w00xlbUi4dg 01:30
  • Head raised means it is about to shoot mud bolts. Dodge sideways with the target held.w00xlbUi4dg 01:30–02:00
  • It spawns adds and then kills them itself. Ignore them unless they are in the way.w00xlbUi4dg 01:30
  • Two or three hits per opening. Do not spam — the punish window is short and the next attack is already coming.w00xlbUi4dg 01:00
§03

Phase two is the same fight on a different rhythm

This is the single most useful thing in the capture, and it is a negative result: nothing new appears. The creator says outright that the second phase is practically the same and that you should not do anything differently. What changes is the timing on one string — the three bites into the tail whip come out on a different beat once it turns red, so the parries have to be later than muscle memory wants them. If the entanglement gauge is full, blocking the whole string is a legitimate alternative to parrying it.

  • Phase two runs the same move set. The only difference is the timing of the three-bite-into-tail-whip.w00xlbUi4dg 04:30–05:00
  • With enough entanglement gauge you can block that string outright instead of parrying it.w00xlbUi4dg 05:00
  • Standing off to one side makes it do the ground attack in the middle of the arena, where it cannot reach you.w00xlbUi4dg 07:30

Lightning, reached twice from opposite directions

Two creators who show no sign of having seen each other land on the same weakness, and that is the only claim on this page carrying that kind of support. One states it flatly as a fact about the boss. The other never says it as a fact at all — he says he brought electric blades because he found the boss "quite weak to it", and the footage shows the health bar emptying. A stated claim and a reported result are different kinds of evidence, and having one of each is better than having two of either.

  • Weak to lightning — equip Koo with lightning skills to exploit it.SksxcX6z8Gw 00:00
  • Electric blades and lightning arrows, bought from the golem merchant outside the arena.GU9bZyMgCcs 01:30
  • It is not tanky. It takes heavy damage, so the fight is short if your openings are clean.SksxcX6z8Gw 00:00
§05

The ground attack has three answers, and one of them is a posture break

The mud-and-thorns attack is the one every source spends time on, and between them they give three separate ways out of it — two defensive and one that turns it into your opening. Fire into the poison is the only posture break named anywhere in our boss coverage, which makes it worth carrying even on a lightning build.

  • Three dodges backwards clears it.GU9bZyMgCcs 01:00
  • Or jump and hold the jump — that avoids it altogether.GU9bZyMgCcs 00:30
  • Fire bolts into the poison cloud break its posture. Koo’s fire works the same way.GU9bZyMgCcs 00:00–00:30
  • It also spits poison directly. That one is dodged to the side, not backwards.GU9bZyMgCcs 01:00
§06

Lv. 16, and the game agrees with the creator who said so

One creator gives the boss as Lv. 16 and says he cleared it at 14 — and unusually for a number on this site, we can check it without leaving the page. The still above was captured for the health bar rather than for the scenery, and the bar reads “Lv. 16 Lacerta” in the game’s own text. A creator’s spoken figure and the shipped client’s own UI, agreeing, is the strongest support any level on this site has. His 14 is still only his: that is what he was, not what the fight is. He is also the only source for the golem merchant outside the arena, which is where the elemental ammunition above comes from — single-sourced, and worth knowing before you walk in without it.

  • Lv. 16 boss, cleared at Lv. 14 — the creator’s figures.GU9bZyMgCcs 00:00
  • The client’s own health bar reads “Lv. 16 Lacerta” in the still above.SCut20Mkt2c 00:40:30

Lacerta — questions players actually ask

Lightning, on two independent sources — one states it directly, the other brings electric blades and lightning arrows and reports they worked. Fire also has a specific use: fire bolts into its poison cloud break its posture.

  • GRILLAZ — Lacerta Boss Guide: How to Defeat the Chapter 2 NushiHands-on on hard, uploaded 2026-08-07 — eight minutes of move-by-move commentary, and the capture that ends this fight's evidence gap. Establishes the full move set: the red-dot mud-and-thorn ground attack, the underwater approach into a jump bite, a three-bite string, a single tail whip from the flank, ranged mud bolts when it raises its head, and adds it kills itself. At 04:30–05:00 it states the one thing that separates the phases — the move set is identical and only the timing of the three-bite-into-tail-whip changes, so phase two is a patience problem rather than a new fight. Its loadout is spoken only and the captions mangle it; do not publish an attribute or weapon name out of this file.
  • Jay Dunna — How to Defeat LacertaHands-on, uploaded 2026-08-08 — the third Lacerta angle and the only one carrying a level: a Lv. 16 boss, cleared at 14. Establishes the posture break (fire bolts into the poison cloud), the three-backward-dodges answer to the ground attack, the jump-and-hold alternative to dodging it, and the merchant golem outside the arena that sells the elemental ammunition. The creator's spirit stone loadout is stated as "three onslaughts", which matches a stone this site already catalogues.
  • Trophy Guides — Lacerta Boss GuideUploaded 2026-08-04, thirty-seven seconds. Short, and its value is independence: written before GRILLAZ published and agreeing with it on speed and relentlessness. It is one of the two sources that reach the lightning weakness separately — this one states it flatly, Jay Dunna arrives at it by bringing electric blades and reporting they worked. Also the only source to say the fight is not tanky.
  • FP Good Game — Beast of Reincarnation Boss Fight: How to Beat LacertaUploaded 2026-08-05. Weakest evidence in the boss set and must be cited as such: the video has no commentary track, so the name Lacerta rests entirely on the creator-typed title and one chapter marker. Establishes that a boss by that name exists in someone's footage, and nothing else.

Video ids and timestamps are printed beside each claim above rather than collected here, so any single line can be checked without reading the page twice.
