Is Beast of Reincarnation Coming to Switch 2?

No version has been announced. The only on-record answer is the director declining to rule it out in January 2026, and nothing has been said since — anyone publishing a window is guessing.

Short answer

No Switch 2 version has been announced. In January 2026 director Kota Furushima told IGN there was "nothing to announce right now" about platforms beyond the three already named, and no announcement has followed.

Where this is being asked · Constantly, and for an obvious reason: this is Game Freak, and Game Freak has shipped on Nintendo hardware for thirty years. The absence of a Nintendo version is the surprising thing about the platform list, which is why the question outsearches most of the guide queries about the game.

Evidence

The answer, broken into claims

A grade describes sourcing, not truth. Inferred means we concluded it and the reasoning is shown; unverified means someone asserted it and nobody stands behind it.

  • OfficialThe announced platforms are PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The store listings on all three platforms, read 5 August 2026.

  • CorroboratedThe director declined to announce any other platform.

IGN interview, reported by GoNintendo and NintendoSoup independently on 23 January 2026.

  • InferredNo Switch 2 version is announced as of 5 August 2026.

Absence across every first-party channel — the store listings, the publisher’s Steam news hub and Nintendo’s own announcements. Recorded as an absence, because no source announces a non-announcement.

  • UnverifiedA Switch 2 port is in development.

Nobody has said this. It appears here because competitor pages imply it, and it has no source at all.

§01

What was actually said, and when

One quote carries this whole answer. Asked by IGN about platforms beyond PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, director Kota Furushima said there was nothing to announce right now about other platforms that had not already been announced. That was reported on 23 January 2026, more than six months before release. It is a refusal to close the door, and it is the strongest thing anyone has on the record.

§02

Why a January quote is weak evidence about August

This file’s rule is that a source published before 30 July 2026 describes something other than the shipped game, and that applies here as much as it applies to preview footage. A "nothing to announce" from January tells you there was no announcement in January. What makes the answer hold today is not the quote — it is that the platform list on all three storefronts still reads PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and no publisher post since has added to it.

§03

What "not announced" is not

It is not a cancellation and it is not a denial. Nobody has said a Switch 2 version will never happen, and a phrase like "nothing to announce right now" is the standard form of words for a thing that may exist and is not being discussed. Treat it as open and unscheduled, which is a different state from ruled out — and a different state again from announced, which is what several sites imply by publishing a window.

§04

What to watch instead of a rumour

A platform addition shows up in one of three places first: the publisher’s Steam news hub, a Nintendo Direct or Partner Showcase, or the game’s own store listings growing a fourth platform line. Nothing else is a signal, and a wiki page with a release window on it is not one of the three.

Expiry condition

What would have to change for this answer to be wrong

An answer about a live-service game without this is an answer with a hidden expiry date.

Game Freak, Fictions or Nintendo announces one — which would appear on the official channels above rather than in a rumour. The answer would also move if the team stated plainly that no Nintendo version is planned, which has not happened either.

Citations

Every source, with its date

A complaint posted before 30 July 2026 describes the playtest, not the game you bought, and a source whose publication date nobody captured cannot show that it postdates launch either. Both are flagged rather than quietly mixed in.
