Nobody on this site has stood in front of one of these. Every number here is two published lists agreeing, every button order is named with the guide that printed it, and the rows where the lists conflict say so on the row rather than in a footnote.

15 of 15 locks.

Disposal Site

Two sources agree

Five-digit code lock · Ogouchi Buffer Zone

04180

Inside Amber, an Electronic Brain, Spirit Stone Ore (S) and torches. The Electronic Brain is the part worth the detour — it is the item that raises the Cleanse Walker’s calculations stat, which gates the Superior and Ultimate recipe ranks.

Five-digit code lock · The Great Wall Terraces

Matsukawa Colony

Sources disagree

Five-digit code lock · Matsukawa Zone

68437

Inside Spirit Stone Ore (M), amber, an Immunity Censer and a Recovery Tonic (L).

The lists disagree

VGC and AllThings.how both print 68437 for a Matsukawa Zone keypad, which is why the code remains on this page.

Eurogamer’s 12 August update instead prints 63457 for the Prayer Room in Matsukawa Colony and does not list 68437 anywhere in its table.

This may be two different Matsukawa-area labels, or it may be one guide correcting another. Until a second independent source prints 63457 or a client capture shows the lock, treat Matsukawa as contested rather than replacing the older two-source code with a single newer one.

Chamber of the Great Buddha

Two sources agree

Five-digit code lock · Fuji Frontier Zone

42354

Inside Spirit Stone Ore (M), amber and a Resurrection Censer.

The lists disagree

VGC and AllThings.how both place this code at the Chamber of the Great Buddha.

A third listing files the same five digits under "Defense Outpost 2".

The digits are the same on every list, so the code is not in doubt — the place name is. Both names sit in Fuji Frontier Zone and nobody publishes a map reference, so this row carries the name two sources agree on and records the third rather than dropping it. If you are standing at a keypad in that region, try it.

Drowned Ruins — Interior

Two sources agree

Five-digit code lock · Giant Tree Zone

81239

Inside Late-game strongbox reward; the code is corroborated, but this site has not published a reward line because the sources do not agree in enough detail to make that the useful part.

Video Games Chronicle · AllThings.how · Eurogamer

Crater Fortress

Two sources agree

Five-digit code lock · Crater Zone

95889

Inside Late-game strongbox reward; the code is corroborated, but the reward is left broad because the reliable agreement is on the digits, not on a route or loot checklist.

LeftUpUpDownRight

Rehearse it before the timer starts

0 of 5.

Inside Two Memory Chips.

The lists disagree

Game8 publishes the order above, and AllThings.how independently agrees the box is a timed sequence and that it pays two Memory Chips.

Camzilla's Mom lists both Subcity 01 boxes as simply unlocked, with no sequence at all.

Two of three say this is a sequence and their reward lists match, which is why it is here. Only one of them printed the actual button order, so the order is graded single-source even though the lock type is not. This is the box most people are searching for when they type "subcity 1 strongbox code" — and note that it is a sequence, not a number, which is probably why that search goes badly.

Right, Right, Left, Up, Down

Rehearse it before the timer starts

0 of 5.

Inside Amber and a Facility Module — the item that raises the Cleanse Walker’s power stat, which is what buys grow-chamber slots.

The lists disagree

Game8 and AllThings.how both call this a timed button sequence; Game8 prints the order above.

Camzilla's Mom lists the Quarry Path house basement as unlocked — walk in and open it.

All three describe the same reward, so this is one box with three descriptions rather than three boxes. Either it locks under a condition none of them names, or one list is wrong. Reaching it is agreed: jump the ruined wall beside the Quarry Path camp, then take the stairs down.

Game8 · AllThings.how · Camzilla's Mom

Sources disagree

Timed button sequence · Ogouchi Buffer Zone

Down, Up, Up, Left, Down

Rehearse it before the timer starts

0 of 5.

Inside Ancient Books and Spirit Stone Ore (S), behind an Elite Golem you have to beat first.

The lists disagree

Game8 calls this a timed sequence and prints the order; AllThings.how also files a golem cavern in the north as a sequence.

Camzilla's Mom lists the Northern Border Cave as unlocked.

The Elite Golem in front of it is on every list, which is the detail that identifies the box. Nothing is marked on the map here, so getting there is the harder half either way.

§01

The combination does not change, which is the only reason a list like this works

A locked strongbox is not asking you to guess. Beating the Elite enemy standing near it hands you the number — AllThings.how describes it arriving as a voice or audio transmission the moment the fight ends, and TreyEx calls the same thing an audio recording. So the fight is the intended route and the keypad is only where you spend what it drops. What makes a code list worth having is the second half: two sources say the combination is fixed. Game8 states the Cliffside Village code is the same on every playthrough, and AllThings.how generalises it — "the same combination works every playthrough". A code you already have can be typed straight in and the Elite becomes optional.

  • Codes come from Elite enemies standing near the box, or from story progress. Eurogamer states both routes.
  • Nobody has tested a code on a second save, ours included. The honest form of the claim is that no source reports one changing.
  • If a patch ever reshuffles them, this is the page that breaks first — the date above is the last time every row was re-read.

§02

Two kinds of lock, and nothing tells you which one you are looking at

Some strongboxes are five-digit keypads. Some are timed button sequences — a short directional order you have to enter before a bar runs out. From across a room they are the same object, and the game gives you no warning which one is about to start a timer. That is most of the difficulty here, and it is also why "strongbox code" is a slightly wrong search: the box people most often look up, the one at Subcity 1, has no number at all. It is five directions.

  • Keypad: five digits, no timer, type it and walk away. Every code on this page is one of these.
  • Timed sequence: four directions on a d-pad in order, under a bar. A wrong press puts you back at the start.
  • The panel above leads every row with which kind it is, because getting that wrong costs you the attempt.
§03

What the three lists disagree about, and why it is worth knowing

Three sources classify the Ogouchi Buffer Zone boxes and no two of them agree on how many are locked. Camzilla's Mom counts twenty-two boxes with exactly one button sequence in the whole region. AllThings.how counts nineteen with four. Game8 names three sequences that neither of the others marks the same way — including the Quarry Path basement, which Camzilla's Mom says you simply open. They agree almost perfectly on what is *inside* each box, which is what says they are describing the same physical boxes rather than different ones. Either "locked" depends on something none of them names, or somebody's column is wrong. Nobody has tested it, so it is written down as an open question rather than resolved into a confident sentence.

§04

Locks that exist here and have no route on this page

A page called "every strongbox lock" that quietly omits locks is worse than one that says what it does not have. These are single-sourced, contested, or missing enough route detail, and that is not enough to publish a confident path.

  • Oil-flask boxes. Two at the Maze of Sin in The Great Wall Terraces are described as opening when you shoot an oil flask. One source, no flask location, nothing to follow.
  • Kill-the-room boxes. The Mountain Village silo box is listed as opening once the golems around it are dead — a lock with no input, and a claim indistinguishable from "the box was always open and the golems were in the way".
  • Key doors. Three Ogouchi boxes sit behind the coloured story keys rather than behind a lock of their own. Those have their own page.
  • The single-source late sequences. Eurogamer now prints Library Hall in Matsukawa and Hidden Cave in Fuji Frontier; the two Ancient Civilization sequences are already present from older sources, but these new late sequences need a second independent source before they become answers.
  • The remaining late regions. Drowned Ruins and Crater Fortress now have corroborated keypad rows, but Inukami River Zone, Starfall Tower and The Capital still have no code or sequence row here. That is a fact about how far the guides have got rather than about the game.

Beast of Reincarnation Strongbox Codes FAQ

08110. Five separate guides print the same five digits, and Game8 states it is the same on every playthrough — so you can type it without beating the Elite Golem that would otherwise hand it to you.

Sources for this page

  • XeroGX Gaming — Cliffside Village Locked Strongbox CodeHands-on, uploaded 2026-08-04, read 2026-08-11, and the only source on this subject that is the shipped game rather than somebody's list. Cited for two frames at 02:46 and nothing else: the lock dial reading 0 8 1 1 0, and the HUD in the same frame reading "Cliffside Village / Code Obtained" above those digits. The second is what promotes the acquisition mechanism from "two guides say so" to something visible.
  • Video Games Chronicle — All Strongbox codes, locations, and rewardsPress guide, read 2026-08-11 — six five-digit codes across the campaign, each with a reward list. It says codes are "found very close to the Strongboxes you need to open" and does not address whether they repeat across playthroughs. It is the only source we hold that publishes the three late-region codes, so those ship as corroborated only because AllThings.how prints the same digits independently.
  • AllThings.how — Beast of Reincarnation CodesCompetitor claim, read 2026-08-11 — seven five-digit codes and two directional sequences. Its mechanism sentence is the most specific any source gives: "Most numeric codes are handed to you automatically as a voice or audio transmission right after you defeat a nearby Elite enemy. You don't need to fight the Elite to use the code afterward — the same combination works every playthrough." That last clause is the second source for a claim Game8 had been making alone.
  • Camzilla's Mom — All 22 Ogouchi Buffer Zone StrongboxesCompetitor claim, read 2026-08-11 — twenty-two boxes in the first region, each classified: two numeric codes, one button sequence, three key doors and sixteen it calls simply unlocked. Its lock-type column is the one that disagrees with Game8 and AllThings.how, and that disagreement is cited rather than resolved. Evidence that this site published these classifications, not that they are right.
  • Camzilla's Mom — All 12 Great Wall Terraces StrongboxesCompetitor claim, read 2026-08-11 — the second source for 07230 at the centre of the Rusted Bridge and for 01498 inside Subcity of Flowers. It also names two lock types no other source describes at all: boxes opened by shooting an oil flask, and one opened by killing the golems around it. Those are published on our page as a gap, not as a route.
  • Game8 — All Strongbox Code SolutionsCompetitor claim, read 2026-08-06. Cited on /strongbox-codes/ for two things: the Cliffside Village code, and the claim that it is the same on every playthrough. Full evaluation in src/data/creator-sources.ts.
  • Eurogamer — All Beast of Reincarnation Strongbox codes and locationsPress guide by Lottie Lynn with Kelsey Raynor, updated 2026-08-12 and re-read 2026-08-12. Cited on /strongbox-codes/ for the Cliffside code, the late Drowned Ruins and Crater Fortress codes, and for the rule that locked codes come from Elite Enemies or story progress. Full evaluation in src/data/creator-sources.ts.
  • TreyEx Gaming — Strongbox Codes and Key LocationsCompetitor claim, read 2026-08-11, cited with an explicit caveat: its code list and both of its directional sequences match AllThings.how item for item, in the same order, so it is not counted as an independent second source for anything. It is here because it states the acquisition mechanism in its own words, and because a reader checking our grading should be able to see the page we decided not to count.
