Where to Find the Blue Key in Beast of Reincarnation — Two Guides, Two Locations
The Blue Key lies in front of a broken golem on a high platform in the Ogouchi Buffer Zone, and the two published guides send you to different places for it. Both routes, what they agree on, and what still is not settled.
On a high platform in the Ogouchi Buffer Zone, lying on the ground in front of a broken golem, reached by climbing rather than through a door. Where that platform is depends on which guide you read: Video Games Chronicle puts it at the Lookout Shack, north-east across the drowned ruins, and Into Indie Games puts it just east of the Subcity 03 entrance under a plume of red smoke. Nobody has published anything that settles which.
Where this is being asked · By players stuck at the Chapter 1 gate, which will not open until all three coloured keys are in. The Red Key arrives on the story path and the Yellow Key is behind a named elite, so the Blue Key is the one people are still hunting when the other two are done — and it is the one where following a guide can put you in the wrong part of the map.
A grade describes sourcing, not truth. Inferred means we concluded it and the reasoning is shown; unverified means someone asserted it and nobody stands behind it.
CorroboratedThe Blue Key is a ground pickup in front of a broken golem on a high platform, reached by climbing.
Video Games Chronicle and Into Indie Games, read 2026-08-08. The two disagree on where the platform is and on nothing else.
UnverifiedThe platform is the Lookout Shack, north-east across the drowned ruins.
Video Games Chronicle only. Into Indie Games places it just east of the Subcity 03 entrance instead, and nothing published reconciles the two.
CorroboratedA campfire named Lookout Shack exists in the shipped game.
Read off a walkthrough capture at 15:00 — see the frame on this page and on /keys/.
UnverifiedThe Blue Key opens anything other than the Chapter 1 gate.
Neither guide reports a second door for it. Recorded as unverified rather than denied, because the Red Key does have one.
§01
The two routes, side by side
Both guides are launch-week walkthroughs by named authors, both cover the same three keys, and neither is obviously the weaker source. They are printed as two routes rather than merged into one because merging them would require picking a winner, and nothing published supports picking one. Tap whichever guide you were following; the three facts underneath the control hold either way.
Which guide are you following?
Lookout Shack
Head for the map’s north-eastern edge, into the drowned section.
Cross the ruined buildings there rather than looking for a route around them.
The camp named Lookout Shack is the destination. A campfire with that name does exist — it is on /keys/, read off a walkthrough capture.
What both guides say, whichever route you take
There is a broken or dead golem at the destination. It is not an NPC and it does not hand anything over.
The key is lying on the ground in front of that golem — a pickup, not a reward.
You get up there by climbing. Neither guide describes a locked door, a gate or a key-for-a-key step.
These may be the same place. Nothing proves it. “North-east across the drowned ruins” and “just east of the entrance” could describe one platform approached from two directions — and a camp named Lookout Shack really does exist, so neither guide invented its landmark. But nothing we hold establishes that the shack and the smoke plume are the same spot, and the two directions are not interchangeable if you are the one walking. If you have stood there, the contact route is on this site.
§02
The Lookout Shack is real, which narrows the dispute without settling it
One of the two guides steers by a camp name and the other never uses it, so the first thing worth establishing is whether the name exists at all. It does: a campfire called Lookout Shack appears in a walkthrough capture with the standard rest menu on it. That rules out the simplest explanation — that one guide invented a landmark — and leaves the harder one, which is that both guides may be describing the same platform from two approaches. The frame below settles the name. It does not settle the route, and this page does not claim it does.
A campfire named Lookout Shack, read off the client. It proves the name Video Games Chronicle steers by is real; it does not prove it is where Into Indie Games sends you. Trophygamers, 15:00
§03
What the Blue Key opens, and what it does not
It is one of the three the Chapter 1 gate wants. The game frames the set as one objective block — the quest tracker lists “Obtain the Red Key.”, “Obtain the Blue Key.” and “Obtain the Yellow Key.” together and ticks them off individually — and the three together open the way toward the Nushi’s Lair. Beyond that, nothing established. The Red Key has a documented second use, a locked door back in the Abandoned Village; a separate claim that the Yellow Key opens an optional building went looking for four players and found none of them. No comparable second door has been reported for the Blue Key by either guide, and this page is not going to invent one to fill the symmetry.
It is a pickup, not a reward. No NPC hands it over and no fight gates it.
The golem in front of it is already broken. It is scenery, not an encounter.
Neither guide describes a door, gate or prior key on the way in — both describe a climb.
§04
Nobody on this site has stood there
This page is two written guides and one frame of somebody else's walkthrough. That is why it prints two routes instead of the confident single sentence every other result for this query leads with, and it is the same rule /disagreements/ runs on across the site. If you have reached that platform, the useful thing you can send is not a correction to our reasoning — it is a screenshot with the map open, which would settle in one image what nothing published so far settles at all.

What would have to change for this answer to be wrong
An answer about a live-service game without this is an answer with a hidden expiry date.
A third source places the Blue Key with a landmark both existing guides can be checked against, or either guide is updated with a map reference or a screenshot. A first-party walkthrough would settle it outright; none exists. This page publishes a disagreement, so it stops being needed the day the disagreement resolves.

Every source, with its date
A complaint posted before 30 July 2026 describes the playtest, not the game you bought, and a source whose publication date nobody captured cannot show that it postdates launch either. Both are flagged rather than quietly mixed in.
That the Blue Key is at the Lookout Shack, in front of a broken Golem, reached through the ruined buildings on the map’s north-eastern drowned edge. Guide by Dave Aubrey; read 2026-08-08.
That the Blue Key is “just east of the Subcity 03 entrance”, marked by a plume of red smoke off a high platform and reached using Emma’s hair — the same pickup in front of a dead golem, at a location described differently. Walkthrough by Mohamed El Ouardighi; read 2026-08-08.
That a campfire named Lookout Shack exists in the shipped game, with the standard rest menu on it. Cited for the frame only: the video’s caption track is a machine translation and renders the three keys as “red, blue and wood”, so nothing spoken in it is quoted here.
