Beast of Reincarnation Patch Notes: v1.0.8

The second patch, 15 August 2026, and the first one that changes the game rather than its settings. DLSS 4/4.5 and FSR 4 shipped, camera distance presets and subtitle sizes arrived, Bloom Arts hit harder, and the Pilgrim’s Zone main route is now two areas shorter.

Official notes exist for this build. What follows is those notes summarised without adding values, timings or platform scope the source does not give.

ShippedOfficial notes15 August 2026 — patch v1.0.8

v1.0.8 is the current build on Steam and Xbox Series, both reporting 1.0.8.0. It shipped the DLSS 4/4.5 and FSR 4 support the previous notes had deferred, added camera-distance and subtitle-size options, and — unlike v1.0.7 — changed encounters, enemy placement and one main route.

§01

What is in it

From the publisher’s support-centre article, which is the longer of the two first-party documents: it carries twenty-four items where the Steam announcement carries twenty-three. The missing one is Brad’s arrival dialogue becoming manual, and it is included here.

These are official patch-note items. They do not publish before/after values, so this page does not invent numbers for camera distance, text size, parry timing or balance.

§02

What is known

Twenty-four items, listed below in the publisher’s order. The support-centre article covers PC and PlayStation together under the title “Patch Notes: v1.0.8 / v1.006.000”, and the per-platform version article gives Steam 1.0.8.0, Xbox Series 1.0.8.0 and PS5 1.006.000, read 18 August 2026. Two items are tagged PC-only in the notes themselves — mouse side-button binding and the DLSS/FSR implementation — which is the first time the publisher has drawn a platform line inside a changelog for this game.

What is not known

Numbers, again, and now scope as well. No figure is published for camera distances, subtitle sizes, the Bloom Art damage and healing increase, or which bosses had their combat behaviour adjusted. “Select areas” is the notes’ own phrase for both the water-submersion and the enemy-placement work, and no area is named. Nothing states which of the twenty-four the Xbox build received beyond the two PC-only tags, and no PlayStation-specific line exists at all.

  • Steam Community Announcement — Beast of Reincarnation PC Patch Notes: v1.0.8Official patch notes, posted 15 August 2026 and synced the same day. Twenty-three changes, against the twenty-four in the publisher’s own support article — the Steam post omits the Brad arrival-dialogue item. Its closing “upcoming patches” list has twelve entries and, unlike the v1.0.7 list, it names both ultrawide monitor support and frame generation. Read 2026-08-18.
  • Fictions support centre — Patch Notes: v1.0.8 / v1.006.000 (article 54430411510419)Official, and the fullest single record of this patch: twenty-four items, one more than the Steam announcement, and both version strings in the title again — PC and PlayStation are one patch for the second cycle running. Tags two items as PC-only (mouse side buttons, DLSS/FSR), which is the first per-platform detail the publisher has ever printed inside a changelog. • Fictions サポート — パッチノート: v1.0.8 / v1.006.000 (article 54430411510419)Official, same article id as the English one. Read 2026-08-18 and compared item by item: for this patch the two languages match, including the Brad item the Steam post drops. The v1.0.7 divergence — a promise in Japanese that English did not carry — did not repeat here, which is worth recording because this site now checks for it every cycle.
  • Fictions support centre — What is the current game version? (article 54049725653139)Official, per-platform, and maintained: Xbox Series 1.0.8.0, PS5 1.006.000, Steam 1.0.8.0 when read on 2026-08-18, against 1.0.7.0/1.005.000/1.0.7.0 on 2026-08-10. It is the only first-party page that states an Xbox build number at all, and it is edited in place with no history, so a citation of it is a citation of a date. The publisher’s own headline misspells "Reincaration"; the URL carries the typo too, so do not correct it when linking.

The other builds

The 17 September v1.0.12 notes leave nine future-work categories: the last unskippable cutscenes, a post-Great Wall route-bypass choice, Nushi/Shidou attack-pattern revamps, harder modes, enemy-drop auto-pickup, event pacing, water detection and invisible-boundary work. None has a date or version number.

1.0.12PC (Steam)

The sixth PC patch, published 17 September 2026. It makes almost all event scenes and cutscenes skippable, adds a skip indicator, makes finishing animations skippable, improves PC DLSS / Frame Generation settings, adds ammo-slot remapping and fixes several event, voice and progression bugs.

1.0.11PC (Steam), with specific non-PC option lines named in the Steam post

The fifth patch, published 8 September 2026. It expands skippable cutscenes through the Great Wall Terraces, adjusts cutscene pacing, enables cutscene cosmetics, adds non-PC visual toggles, flower-node skill resets, more Blighted Sprouts, Regeneration safety, ranged-aim buffering and many bug fixes.

1.0.10PC (Steam)

The fourth PC patch, released 31 August 2026. It adds film grain, chromatic aberration and cutscene post-processing toggles, Blight Sprouts that yield SP, Fractured Amber nodes, inventory overflow conversion to Amber, ranged-aiming changes and many progression, boss, Koo, collision and performance fixes.

1.0.9PC (Steam and Microsoft Store/Xbox PC)

The third patch, released 24 August 2026. It adds ultrawide support, DLSS/FSR frame generation, the first batch of skippable cutscenes, charm selling, combat and UI changes, performance work and targeted PC fixes.

1.007.000PlayStation 5

The PS5 build paired with PC v1.0.9 in the publisher’s 24 August changelog. It shares the thirty-five-item record, including a PS5-specific controller-vibration adjustment and several entries explicitly limited to PC.

1.006.000PlayStation 5

The PlayStation 5 side of the 15 August patch. Same notes as PC v1.0.8, filed under one article, with two PC-only items excluded by the publisher’s own tags. 1.006.000 is the number a PS5 client reports for it.

1.0.7PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S — superseded

The first official patch notes, published on Steam on 9 August 2026. They cover camera, text size, story pacing, the cutscene default, input remapping, parry, balance, upscaling, V-Sync and specific bug fixes. Superseded on 15 August by v1.0.8.

1.005.000PlayStation 5 — superseded

The PlayStation 5 side of the 9 August patch. It is not a separate update from PC v1.0.7 — the publisher files both under one set of notes — and 1.005.000 is the number a PS5 client reports for it.

1.0.6PC (Steam) — superseded

The PC launch build named in the developer’s own launch announcement. It has now been superseded by v1.0.7 on Steam.

1.004PlayStation 5 — superseded

A day-one update reported on PlayStation 5 and described as a performance and stability pass. It is single-sourced, no official notes accompany it, and it has now been superseded by the 1.005.000 build.
