Beast of Reincarnation PS5 Patch Notes: 1.005.000
The PlayStation 5 side of the 9 August patch. It is not a separate update from PC v1.0.7 — the publisher files both under one set of notes — and 1.005.000 is the number a PS5 client reports for it.
Official notes exist for this build. What follows is those notes summarised without adding values, timings or platform scope the source does not give.
Your PS5 reports a different number from the PC patch everyone was writing about, and it is the same patch: 1.005.000 is PlayStation’s numbering for the build Steam calls 1.0.7. Neither is current any more — the 15 August patch reads 1.006.000 on PS5.
What is in it
From the publisher’s own support-centre article, whose title names this build. The list is identical to the Steam post: there is one changelog for this patch, not a PC one and a console one.
- Various adjustments to the player camera, both in and out of combat; additional camera adjustments are still planned.
- Adjustments to text size throughout the game; further text-size adjustments are being planned.
- Story pacing was slightly adjusted by limiting some affinity-building conversations that could occur multiple times in a row to once per day; further cutscene-experience updates are planned.
- The default cinematic cutscene setting changed from Cinematic to Performance mode. Existing Cinematic selections stay Cinematic until changed.
- Players can now remap the “interact” button in settings.
- Adjusted the parry window when Emma is taking damage.
- Fixed a bug where, with “interact” mapped to square/X, pressing it during the story event where you talk to Kagura on the Walker prioritised “rest until morning” instead, so you could not talk to her.
- Made various boss-balance adjustments across all difficulty levels.
- Made various enemy-encounter balance adjustments on Normal difficulty.
- Fixed button icon type changes not being saved correctly.
- Fixed upscaling settings resetting after restarting the game.
- Fixed a V-Sync bug where changing V-Sync settings could affect the player’s resolution settings.
- Fixed an issue where the sixth golem in Subcity 01 was difficult to find.
- Fixed an issue where Emma could become unable to interact if a Bloom Art was cancelled.
These are official patch-note items. They do not publish before/after values, so this page does not invent numbers for camera distance, text size, parry timing or balance.
What is known
The publisher’s support centre publishes the changelog under the title “Patch Notes: v1.0.7 / v1.005.000” — one article, one list of fourteen items, both version strings in the heading. Its separate per-platform version article gives PS5 as 1.005.000 alongside Steam and Xbox Series at 1.0.7.0. MP1st reported a 1.005 update on 9 August independently, hours before the notes went up, and its article carries the five-item summary from the 5 August announcement rather than the finished list — which is why several sites are still running five bullets for a patch that shipped with fourteen.

What is not known
Anything PlayStation-specific. There is no line in the notes addressed to PS5, no separate console changelog, and no statement about console frame rate, resolution or crash behaviour — the platform difference published so far is the version string and nothing else. The upscaling, V-Sync and DLSS items in the list are PC settings by their nature, and the notes do not say how, or whether, those lines apply to a PS5 build.

- Fictions support centre — Patch Notes: v1.0.7 / v1.005.000 (article 54231342026771) — Official, and the single most useful thing about it is its title: the publisher files the PC and PlayStation builds as one patch under one set of notes. The body is the same fourteen items as the Steam post, so nothing in the list is new — what is new is that the notes are not PC-only, which the Steam post’s own "PC Patch Notes" heading had left open. Read 2026-08-10, and superseded on 15 August by the v1.0.8 / v1.006.000 article in the same support section.
- Fictions support centre — What is the current game version? (article 54049725653139) — Official, per-platform, and maintained: Xbox Series 1.0.8.0, PS5 1.006.000, Steam 1.0.8.0 when read on 2026-08-18, against 1.0.7.0/1.005.000/1.0.7.0 on 2026-08-10. It is the only first-party page that states an Xbox build number at all, and it is edited in place with no history, so a citation of it is a citation of a date. The publisher’s own headline misspells "Reincaration"; the URL carries the typo too, so do not correct it when linking.
- MP1st — update 1.005, the first post-release patch — Press, 2026-08-09, bylined Alex Co and timestamped 12:23 pm. Independent evidence that a build numbered 1.005 went out on 9 August, and it is cited for that and nothing else. The five bullets it prints are the 5 August announcement, not the patch: the article says outright that "the devs have not confirmed whether this is a preliminary look at the patch or the entire thing", and it predates the finished twelve-item notes. Several sites have since copied its five bullets forward as though they were the changelog. The host 403s automated fetching; read 2026-08-10 with a browser user agent.
The other builds
The 17 September v1.0.12 notes leave nine future-work categories: the last unskippable cutscenes, a post-Great Wall route-bypass choice, Nushi/Shidou attack-pattern revamps, harder modes, enemy-drop auto-pickup, event pacing, water detection and invisible-boundary work. None has a date or version number.
The sixth PC patch, published 17 September 2026. It makes almost all event scenes and cutscenes skippable, adds a skip indicator, makes finishing animations skippable, improves PC DLSS / Frame Generation settings, adds ammo-slot remapping and fixes several event, voice and progression bugs.
The fifth patch, published 8 September 2026. It expands skippable cutscenes through the Great Wall Terraces, adjusts cutscene pacing, enables cutscene cosmetics, adds non-PC visual toggles, flower-node skill resets, more Blighted Sprouts, Regeneration safety, ranged-aim buffering and many bug fixes.
The fourth PC patch, released 31 August 2026. It adds film grain, chromatic aberration and cutscene post-processing toggles, Blight Sprouts that yield SP, Fractured Amber nodes, inventory overflow conversion to Amber, ranged-aiming changes and many progression, boss, Koo, collision and performance fixes.
The third patch, released 24 August 2026. It adds ultrawide support, DLSS/FSR frame generation, the first batch of skippable cutscenes, charm selling, combat and UI changes, performance work and targeted PC fixes.
The PS5 build paired with PC v1.0.9 in the publisher’s 24 August changelog. It shares the thirty-five-item record, including a PS5-specific controller-vibration adjustment and several entries explicitly limited to PC.
The second patch, 15 August 2026, and the first one that changes the game rather than its settings. DLSS 4/4.5 and FSR 4 shipped, camera distance presets and subtitle sizes arrived, Bloom Arts hit harder, and the Pilgrim’s Zone main route is now two areas shorter.
The PlayStation 5 side of the 15 August patch. Same notes as PC v1.0.8, filed under one article, with two PC-only items excluded by the publisher’s own tags. 1.006.000 is the number a PS5 client reports for it.
The first official patch notes, published on Steam on 9 August 2026. They cover camera, text size, story pacing, the cutscene default, input remapping, parry, balance, upscaling, V-Sync and specific bug fixes. Superseded on 15 August by v1.0.8.
The PC launch build named in the developer’s own launch announcement. It has now been superseded by v1.0.7 on Steam.
A day-one update reported on PlayStation 5 and described as a performance and stability pass. It is single-sourced, no official notes accompany it, and it has now been superseded by the 1.005.000 build.
