When to use it
The clearest example of the trade this catalogue is about: it is the fifth-highest defense in the game and the joint-worst for slots. Whether that is a good deal depends entirely on which two stones you would have to drop, and nobody has published stone values in a form that lets you compute it.

The three axes are what make the table interesting: defense rises monotonically through the set and slots and awareness do not, so several later pieces are worse than earlier ones on two of three.
